MacBook Pro, 10.5.2, crashes every time

Postby thockin » 12 May 2008 06:18

No matter what files I feed VLC, it blows up. Some of these are files that play fine in Quicktime. VLC loads, shows a black screen, blips the audio, and then crashes.

help? share a clue?

This is a brand-new install. No preferences. No cache.

??

And why is that the suggested answer to every problem on this forum?

OK, I apologize. No idea *why* that would work, but it seems to have worked.

I have removed the internal DVD burner from my MacBookPro since i replaced it with a secund HD in the MCE Optibay
The DVD burner is now moved to an external FW400 external enclosure.
The Optical drive lets me burn CD, instal Leopard...
But until now i cannot watch a DVD movie with VLC latest software for intel mac:
