Subtitles problem

Postby borez » 17 Mar 2008 21:26

I having a problem getting VLC to show subtitles for films, are the subtitles supposed to load automatically if placed in the same folder as the film, or do you have to load them separately? When I do load them separately all I get is this message:

main: demux doesn't like DEMUX_GET_TIME

movie is .avi and subtitles are .srt files

Is there something I'm missing here?

Me too, I've given up trying to get subtitles to work with VLC. They need to fix it, it just doesn't work properly.

Ask VLC to use another font for the subtitles.

Did you guys try upgrading VLC to the latest version?
I had the same demux message problem but I upgraded to 0.8.6e (PowerPC) and it works perfectly now. I'll have to try on my MacBookPro as well.
Cheers
