Nightly builds for MAC OSX Intel

That's because our nightly builds are currently being compiled on Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard, which appears to be providing a different libiconv version. Interesting... Thanks for the hint!

According to http://buildbot.videolan.org/ the OS X Intel builds are compiling/linking without an issue but the builds don't seem to show up on: http://nightlies.videolan.org/build/mac ... l/?C=M;O=D

I like to know this as well.
1. The last nightly build are dated January 4th.
2. VLC Trunk don't build successfully with Xcode 3.0.

Are these issues related?

What's up with this?
There have not been released any VLC trunk builds for Mac OSX since early January. Are Mac OS X abandoned for VLC 0.9.0 or what?

I am fully aware that VLC are mostlycoded by volunteers on their free time. But for some reason they don't seem to be able to get VLC trunk to build on Mac OS X, while they obviously seem to be able to build on/for Win32. Oh well!

So we/you still run into the same problem as last year? That FFMPEG don't compile on Mac OS 10.5/Xcode 3.0?
If so, then it sadly sounds like the FFMPEG development team don't care much about Mac OS X compatibility...

We switched to Leopard to compile VLC. Right now, Leopard doesn't support FFmpeg. Yesterday, I committed a fix to make it work, but it will be dog-slow for now as it misses all CPU accelerations (SSE2, MMX). A full-speed version of FFmpeg on Leopard will be available early time next year.

It seems that mythtv had simmilar problems on mac and now they have resolved them.
