Getting VLC to quit after done playing video --Possible??

Postby cableguy » 10 Mar 2008 00:35

1st off, I LOVE VLC!!!

and on to my actual question =)

I'm using Dvdpedia and VLC to watch my movies.
is there a way to configure VLC to auto quit/close after its done playing the movie??
This will simplify the movie selection process when playing videos (especially for when the GF wants to watch)

thanks in advance!!

j-b Thanks for the reply
do i have to do this manually for every movie? I ask because dvdpedia basicly launches vlc and plays the video_ts folder im unsure how to go about this.
is there the chance that this might be added as an option in the future?
i'm in the preferences, and in the playlist options but i dont see a way to make it do this automaticly, unless im over looking it ( i notice if i choose Play and Stop under playlist and then i do a vlc:quit in default stream it shows up in my playlist.) but it doesnt seem to appear at the end of my playlist.

am i going in the totally wrong direction here?

anyway to set it up to do like [play *.* movie then vlc:quit:] just by playing the movie?

I don't know exactly how it does launch it, but yes, vlc movie.avi vlc:quit is what you want at each end of movie
