VLC in 'Program' Folder

Postby monopolist » 17 Feb 2008 12:23

Hello.

How come VLC show up on top in the Program folder on Leopard 10.5 when I sort by Type?
I want it to show up under 'V' and still keep my folder structure.

Thank you.

And No. It is not because I´ve changed the name.

And No. It is not because I´ve changed the name.

My system is running in English and the name of the application is simply VLC.
I suspect that the application ahs a localized name (just like Preview does), and this name might have some UTF-8 tricks in it forcing it to the top of the list.
Do you see the same thing if you switch your System to English and reboot??

I renamed it to Videolan, that is not the problem.
And I don´t have the energy to switch over to english. Is there not a simple answer to this question?
