Usable 0.9 for PowerPC and Intel?

Postby montressor » 11 Mar 2007 08:23

There are a few features in 0.9 that I'd love to have access to, but can't seem to find a version off the nightlies website that actually runs. The trunk dmgs all crash on me, and the stable doesn't have the one feature I'm looking for (updated marquee subfilter with metadata). I've tried building from svn, but always seem to have a fatal prob at one point or another (may be because of my Fink install).

I've read a couple posts stating that folks are successfully using an earlier version of 0.9 trunk that's reasonably stable. Can anyone point to a version for Intel and/or PowerPC that runs?

Todays trunk build (PowerPC) runs fine on Mac OS 10.4.8:
http://nightlies.videolan.org/build/mac ... 2-0134.dmg

Some questions/suggestions:
1. Delete the VLC preferences and try again.
2. Are you running on PowerPC or Intel hardware?
3. Which Mac OS X version? The trunk is 10.4 only...

Thanks, I'll give it a shot.

1. I'll try that
2. Both - my laptop is PowerPC and my Mini is intel. Seeing same crashes on both with .avi and .mp4/h.264 files
3. OSX version 10.4.8 on both machines.
