I'm not sure if it's VLC, the op system, or something about the videos. I have multiple strange issues.
1) It freezes and crashes frequently.
2) If I open a folder and have it play the items, each file is listed twice. I can delete them, but they tend to re-duplicate.
3) I use Ctrl-I and add Genre Information then save. I then save my playlist or exit. Sometimes the changes show, sometimes not. They do not show up duplicated when I use Finder.
4) When I click on top of a column, the sort is not correct. Many sort, but some pop up in weird places.
5) Almost 1/3 of my files are now showing up as zero duration.
6) Files that once played seem corrupt.
7) Files seem to disappear then appear. When sorting by name, they may appear in unusual places.
A lot of files seem to freeze then crash VLC.
9) All these .log fles keep appearing.
10) I'm really unclear if deleting files actually deletes them or just on this play list.
11) File names don't match what I see in Finder.
12) When I set column widths, it never "sticks." I have to adjust the columns each time I reopen this.
