Can I start vlc by using a configuration file?

Can I start vlc by using a configuration file?

I have generated a configuration file including some broadcast and sheduling elements. What is the Linux-Commandline for starting vlc, using this Configuration-File?

If I have understood you correctly I would suggest .vlc

vlc -I telnet --vlm-conf <the file>
