--vlm-conf in 0.8.5

Postby aci » 07 Sep 2006 12:37

I installed win service with following command:

"C:\Program Files\VideoLAN\VLC\vlc.exe" -I ntservice --ntservice-extraintf=http,telnet --ntservice-name "VLC VLM" --ntservice-options "--http-host :8081 --vlm-conf C:\vlm\config.vlm" --ntservice-instal

in 0.8.4a and it worked fine. When I upgraded to 0.8.5, service is installed but it seems that vlm config is not passed to the service.
Is something changed or I missed something?

Tnx ACi

several things you might want to try:
use double \ instead of simple \\
paste your vlm config file here
paste debug log from VLC here (you can get debug log in a file by using --extraintf logger --logfile "path\to\file")

Thanks,

double \\ helped.
It seems that parsing of file name in 0.8.5 is different that in 0.8.4a .
