Create a VLC playlist from a folder, that updates whenever a new file is added

Hello, I am working on a small art project and I need a hand. I would like people to be able to record a video on an ipad. This video then gets saved in a folder on that iPad. On a separate screen, I would like the videos to be playing in a continuos loop from that specific folder where the files are saved, and I would like the loop to be updated as soon as a video gets saved in the folder. Any ideas? is this even possible. I am also really new to the world of coding for VLC, as detailed an explanation as possible would be great.
