HTTP Downloading Streaming Video stops

Postby kdwellssr » 08 Jan 2013 20:45

I'm new to the VLC. I've been trying for 5 days to get this to download streaming video form HTTP server. "I want to download free tv movies to watch at a time when I have no internet available. I've tried so many things I don't know exactly what I did to get one started but it did. So I know the player can do it. However it suddenly stopped recording at 12 minutes into the movie. The Hour meter showed it was a 1 hr and 32min movie. I can get the http address to show up at the bottom of the screen but I just can't seen to get the movie to start. I have tried to start from several points: encluding all of the drop downs points in the Media list. Most get the Http address to show up at the bottom of the black screen but then quickly dissapear. If I double click on the play button the Http address will stay at the bottom but nothing happens. Will someone help to figure it out please. It may be that I just don't know what I'm doing.

I've changed to Mozilla Firefox to see if it fixes the problem. It doesn't. I can view whatever I get downloaded to my computer now. Still can't get it to download the FLV.
