VOD MPEG-TS VLM Telnet Interface Problem

I am using vlc-0.8.5 as client (running on Win XP) and server (running on Suse Linux 10.0) in my VOD environment . My problem is that when I am using MPEG-TS (.mpg) file I am able to view the file at client, but I am not able to Pause the Video. Further, when I click 'Play Fast' it freezes after playing fast for few seconds. However, when I am using MPEG-PS (.mpg) file, I am able to view the file at client, and I am able to Pause the Video as well, but when I click 'Play Fast' it freezes after playing fast for few seconds.

Your assistance would be highly appreciated.

I have the same problem as you.
When I click "Play Fast", the video freezes, howerer the slider is still going ahead.
It seems like that: vlc client can not decode the fast stream.
