I don't understand the messages I quoted... If someone can tell me what is the problem, I may be able to modify the server to make it compliant with VLC.

Thanks in advance. :)

I've found, there was an error in the description data length.

Does someone know a few information on RTSP or vlc's RTSP?
I have plenty of question to ask, so if you know something about it, just let me know by sending a message here.

Question: I am coding an RTSP server in Java and I would like to know what is the process to follow when a PLAY request is sent..... (Don't tell me to check the RFC 2326, I didn't find the magic key for my server) 8)

Read you soon!

Hello !!!

I've got a problem with the rtsp server I use with VLC (as a client):
When I ask VLC to use the rtsp locator: rtsp://my_server_IP:server_port/media,
rtsp communication starts, and stops at PLAY command. Play command is received by the server, "OK" is sent back and streaming process starts, but vlc tells me that no data has been received during the last 10s and turn off.

I would like to know what kind of data are expected RTP/UDP or RTCP/UDP?
It seems strange that VLC cannot read the data on the port and URL, it suggested. :x

The UDP data are really sent on the good port at good adress, so is it waiting for some RTCP requests to start reading?

Can someone help me cause I spent alote of time on this problem.....
Thank you in advance :)
