DVD time-stamps

I have a Libre-Office Calc spread sheet detailing all the information of camcorder footage that was assembled from tapes etc on to DVDs. Copies of the DVDs are on my hard-drive. By cutting and pasting a code from one column of the spread sheet into a linux terminal I can access any entry through VLC as to Title and Chapter of any these DVDs. It would be convenient if the time that is displayed could be specified as well as Title & Chapter as it would then be possible for pinpoint accuracy. Is this possible or, if not, is it being considered for future versions of VLC ?
