Streaming mp4 from vlc to vlc

Postby dapeco » 09 Jan 2009 21:56

Hello,

I need to stream a mp4 file from one server (with debian etch and vlc 0.8.6d) to an other one (with same configuration) that feeds a wowza server for a flashplayer.

Now the problem: I'm unable to transmit from che first server to the second, i have tried and read al the how to and the wiki. I can only use the http remote control so vlm.

The only thing I get work is the output of the second server

Code: Select all

#duplicate{dst=rtp{dst=127.0.0.1,sdp=file:///usr/local/WowzaMediaServerPro/content/vlc.sdp}}
Any ideas?

thanks

That's not clear.
How can you have the output of the second server working, if your first server is not. You are supposed to transmit from your first server to your second server.

The output line work fine: the input (.mp4 file) in send in the rightway to the wowza server which stream right ( http://tv.asdbrusasco.it/test1.html is the result, video and audio work fine, but the file I'm streaming now is without audio). During we I have tested same configuration, I'm now able to stream a h264/aac file from server 1 to server 2 with http streaming and a mpeg-ts, but the server 2 is not able to send a good signal to wowza, so audio work, but no video is visible.
