[Newbie] RTSP streaming of multiple files in a directory

Postby atomikramp » 18 Apr 2007 14:20

Hello all...

i'm a total newbie to VLC... so please don't flame on me if i say something nonsense :)

I actually have a directory where i upload video files....
on the same server i have VLC installed..

I need to stream the videos uploaded in that directory via RTSP as automatically as possible....

is there a way to configure VLC to automatically read the content of a directory and set up channels for each video?

Videos are already encoded and ready to be streamed so i don't need any transcoding to be done by VLC...

I've seen something similar running with darwin streaming server.. but VLC seems more powerfull an feature filled... so i thought that if i can implement this feature somehow using VLC my future further customizations would have been easier...

Sorry for my bad english and thnx in advice for any suggestion you would give me :)

Best regards.
Rampage.
