Bug request from my VLC Media 1.18

My VLC Media Player 1.18 has been prompting me to report bugs for the last few weeks. I'm new to the open source community and I really want to make a contribution to the VideoLAN team. Any suggestions on how to go about it please?? Help out the newbie please!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am Melvin and the link to my blog is here. Thanks in advance. Melvin
