After reading the pinned post above stating conversion software is off limits on pain of instant ban for some bizarre reason (which incidentally is not stated in said post so naturally I have no idea if the reason would cover this subject too) I was wondering if we are free to discuss the merits of various hardware conversion types/models or if the ban threat applies to that subject as well?

Basically, spam for media convertors are banned.
Anything else is ok.
