A VLC Pop-Up Ad?

An ad just popped up for me: "videolansoftware.com" I clicked for the hell of it, what's antivirus software for, and I was surprised to see that I was actually led to the real VideoLAN site.
So I'm wondering... why? Is this actually you all? If so, where u be gettin that money from?
