Hello

I'm a vlc 1.0.1 new user from France.

For a french teaching project between France and students & teachers from East Europe, I'd like to stream french videos from my PC (fast Internet 1040k I think) to their PC (network speed from 56k to 512 k. Slow Internet network).
I'd like to know what is the best solution to make it work in that special situation (streaming, Vod,?...what kind of video compression, format etc.?).
I'd specially like to find how to do it on vlc 1.0.1 with easy step by step explanations (or/with pictures and/or videos).

All documentations, supports, forums, and tutos (in several languages) are still about old versions, but vlc 1.0.1 has a very different interface, so my attempts fails every time.
I hope to find someone to guide me on that forum, or Videolan updated supports, documentation to make us be able to stream, convert, and share media with this vlc version.

Thanks for your help.

The new post I send yesderday could be called "Website: Documentation/Support" and my message would be: there is no Doc and support for vlc 1.0.1 on all Videolan websites.
So my post is at the right place, isn't it? If it's not, there could I move it please?

Thanks for Help

I noticed that a lot of VLC user on Windows forum are running different VLC versions.
Maybe it could be useful to create a thread for each VLC version.
It would be easier for us to find informations about the version we have a problem with?

(I create a new post about my problem to set up VLC 101 streaming and vod feature for beginner like me and a lot of person. See: VLC media player for Windows Troubleshooting/ VLC 1.0.1 Stream and Vod - please help.
