site hacked?

when I googled for "VLC player" (dutch google) the top hit was the sponsored link "http://www.VlcMediaPlayer.info/Download"
When I pressed the download-button, my virusscanner alarmed:
file http:// prompt. pinballpublishernetwork. com/Setup/61.0.26.0_64.0.37.0/hotbar_vlc/vlcsetup.exe probably a variant of Win32/Genetik trojan
Is the site hacked or is the site from someone who wants to spread viruses? (then google should be alerted)

I thought I should mention it, because anyways it's bad for VLC's reputation.

Sorry, but you shouldn't click on sponsored links.

There is only one place where you can download official VLC: http://www.videolan.org/vlc/

CloudStalker has heard that many times Google will point to links, even though they're not for the official sites, simply because these other sites have more advertisements and Google can profit off of that. It might not just be Google but CloudStalker is just saying what he heard.
