Statusline too small

Statusline too small

As you can see, the statusline is far too small: Image
The button shows 0:09:22 / 0:.? - I guess elapsed time, total time. There is a lot of space to the right, but it's not used.
x1.0 is what? At least cut off.

Version is (xUbuntu 8.04, VLC media player 0.8.6e Janus (wxWidgets Interface) (c) 1996-2008 - the VideoLAN Team.

Resizing the Frame does not give the space to the field which needs it, but to the filenamefield.

Use 0.9.x versions of VLC.
