I think you should update the main page of the site, either the latest news or the link to download a fresh version of vlc

On the left of the home page:
=> Latest news invites us to update vlc to 0.9 because of some bad evil bugs...

On the right:
=> Latest non beta version is 0.8.6.i
=> Link are for this version

Only people knowing where to search nighly builds might be not confused.

We'll only update the website news and post public announces to our mailing lists once we have Mac OS X and Windows builds ready. Those users are the only ones who download on the videolan.org anyway.

(We'll hopefully release in a few days ... bugs preventing the win32 release were fixed, but some new ones were found)

I wanted to be sure you have been noticed that the sentences "Fixes for these issues are available in VLC 0.9. We strongly recommend all users to update to this new version." was confusing without a link to this version.
