Dear Admin,

As VLC is deployed generally via NSI installers. So it would be great if problems related to NSI installations might be addressed in some sub forum having NSI as its heading.

Regards

We don't see enough questions about that here.

I know that there aren't any questions about it here. But isn't a deployment part also an integral part of letting people learn how to make customized deployment needs. I guess opening some threads about NSI Deployment might encourage people to even look this un seen but kinda strong side of deployment.

I'm looking my VLC plugin to run on almost every platform i.e OS. I have already developed plugin (using Windows Binaries 0.86f) which lets user install vlc player silently under windows with even Mozilla plug in enabled by default during its installation BUT what about other Operating Systems to which I have NO knowledge at all.

I need people to guide me how to make plugin that will AUTO Install under LINUX and MAC. I'm basically requesting the helper to create a silent installer having plugin installed for each browser in that OS like I did in windows.

If successful then on the website I can tell people how to view the broadcast on their operating systems. In our just 4 days of launching we have received approx 6000 hits with the following stats

(These are approximate Figures). We use http://www.histats.com to track our site statistics and I must say that its pretty accurate ones :). We have cross tested it for finding out any fake entries but found NO so far :)

What I mean is that NSI deployment questions should go to windows discussion.

Moreover, some administrators would love to have .msi packages, which is not doable yet with NSIS setups or any open source solution.
