website - OS detection script

Postby Guest » 27 Jul 2006 16:42

hello, i couldnt find an email address so ive decided to post here. I'm getting this message on the Website:
Haha Mac OS 9 is dead! (if you're not using Mac OS 9 ... please write us a mail so we can fix this OS detection script)

I am running OS X 10.4.6 and browsing with Opera 9.0, which sends this user agent id:

Mozilla/4.0 (compatible; MSIE 6.0; Mac_PowerPC; en) Opera 9.00

Thanks for reporting the issue :)

This should now be fixed (i hope). Could you give it a try and confirm that it works ?

look at http://www.quirksmode.org, he posted a new version of his browser/os detection script which works with (almost?) all browsers and all osses, and is one of the most clean and beautifull javascript codes i've ever seen
