All the best.

I like it
(even though some of the mac devs seem to think that the clouds are too Microsoft look alike)
One small rule that we fogot to list on the wiki page: please don't make it fixed width

No problemo!
In a few days you'll have the fluid version. I wish I knew this from the beginning
UPDATE:
It's done! The layouts are not fixed anymore.

Overall quite good but the metal background should be redone, it isnt repeated smoothly you should use a tileable background instead.
Maybe you shoold also lighten the drop shadow of the top menu a little bit, it seems to me too heavy.
You should do the reflection of the VLC Cone(in the header) with a little offset so that there is space between the cone and the reflection(like you did it with the VideoLan Logo), that looks better imho.

Danke!
The modifications have been done - except for the cone offset: I won't do it, cause it's a reflected "3D object". If I put a white space between the cone and it's reflection, it would be quite unnatural.
The video logo

the video logo on the left top looks very great! keep it, it's better than the official!
Have you tried the right menu as it is with round corners at the top, too? I think the cutted corner don't look cool, because they don't match to the linear (without traingulars) design of the rest of the page.
Great work!

Yes, I've made a version with rounded corners, and it didn't convince me.
But if Videolan guys would prefer rounded corners, I will change it back. It's a matter of seconds, actually. (ok, maybe a few minutes...)
Site Looks Great!

Hi there,
I think the site design looks great! Just a thought or 2. Firstly I think there is too much white space! Perhaps the header area with the "VideoLan" logo and Cone could be brought up 25 pixels. Also the links in this area "Overview", "News" etc, could have a bullet or seperating line like the links at the top to make them stand out as links. I think the links at the top are a bit light in colour on the steel background, would blue work? Blue being the complimentary colour to orange on the colour wheel. Anyway, just a few thoughts, keep up the good work, nice design on layout and graphics!

Cheers,
As I hadn't anything better to do today (sun is shining, the bike is waiting), I updated the index page. I've added a link bubble tool, which, as name suggests, pops up a bubble with text containing the link and it's title. It works just fine with all browsers I've checked, and if Javascript is deactivated it transforms itself in plain "title" - if there is any title...
Here it is:

If you like it - shoot, if not - shoot!
