Is there a reason that the VLC win64 installer is kept somewhat hidden from sight compared to the win32 one?

I was wondering that also, the
changelog even says
"64bit version of VLC for Windows is recommended.".

I'd like to know if the win64 build is recommended or still just for testing.
I've been using it for a while without problems but VLC isn't my main media player.

It is recommended for 3.0
