It seems unfortunately, you're more hitting a bug in openSUSE 10.2 than in our repository.
Please also compare to the Novell Bugtracker:

You can try the following things:
Replace the url with:
ftp://download.videolan.org/pub/videola ... SuSE/10.2/
or try with
Code: Select all
su -
rug sa -t zypp http://download.videolan.org/pub/videolan/vlc/0.8.6/SuSE/10.2/ vlc
Alternative, if you decided to use the openSUSE package management instead of the enterprise package manager, you could need to try:

zypper sa -t zypp http://download.videolan.org/pub/videolan/vlc/0.8.6/SuSE/10.2/ vlc
