Good morning,
following a study project, we realized that the bug tracking system does not display some data related to known issues.
For example, issue #27335 is no longer available.
Is this an intentional feature? If so, what is its purpose?
Or is it a different kind of issue?
Could this not undermine the fundamental transparency principle of open source?

Issues regarding security are supposed to go through security@videolan.org according to the responsible disclosure principle and then reported in CVEs, see https://www.videolan.org/security/
When it's not following the correct protocol, the issues are made confidential for the team and original poster.
The patches fixing the issues are made public once the release is done.
