Incorrect md5 checksum

Postby anon » 24 Dec 2012 20:49

From the web site (http://www.videolan.org/vlc/download-macosx.html)
32/64 bits Intel Mac, 2.0.5
MD5: 001d6b753357d6621ddc0fdeffa5e767
Download from the direct link (http://downloads.sourceforge.net/projec ... ror=freefr)

gives MD5: 4b9ff700342cf783af8d6b0a4accf26b

ie NOT as listed on the site! Same for the auto download! So not a download error (I've got the same from two different places) - I have to assume you have not had chance to update the web page - I would have hope this would be automated to avoid these kinds of problems. Is it safe? Is it the real thing? Or what is going on? Has it been corrupted? Is it insecure?

Hope everything is ok, but could someone check this and confirm. Many thanks.
