Posting how-to help

Hi Forum,

My apologies, but I am not completely clear on what the available buttons do for posting a topic... For example I do use the "URL" button and have used it to post images, but what do the "Quote", "Code", "List", "List=" etc do? I assume this is summarized somewhere but a bit of a search on my part did not come up with it... Specifically I was wondering how best to present code and/or debug output text in a post.
