scam site: vlcplayerdownload dot org

Hey guys,

"Discovered" this site a few minutes ago though another (legitimate) website recommending VLC Media Player. Their link is to vlcplayerdownload dot org

Everything about this site seems suspicious. You can't click on any of the links (support, features, etc), and there are multiple links to be able to download the player. In addition to that, the link to the download is this: preview dot licenseacquisition dot org ... vlc-1.0.1-win32.exe

I'm pretty sure that this is probably a scam site, which offers VLC Media Player with a few "extra" features, but I just wanted to make sure as I'm also in the process of sending an email to the owner of the (legitimate) website informing them that they should be linking to videolan.org instead.

Please let me know what your thoughts are on this site.

Thanks j-b. I was 99.99999% sure that it was a scam but I just wanted to confirm it on here so I can back myself up when contacting the website administrator to the site that was recommending people download this version.

I removed the links from the original post, so that they don't get improved page ranking by search engines who find a link to them on this forum.
