In 2008, World Domination!

Postby Tombigel » 02 Jan 2008 06:17

Happy new year guys.
To speed up world domination, I decided to give VLC a small push forward:

Update: Fixed the aspect ratio, apparently my reference image was in a very bad quality..
Update2: Fixed 3d parts that looked bad, fixed the lightning. this is the last change.

JB: You see, this is what I do instead of helping you with good ideas for 0.9 :)
(I realize it's not my best work ever, but it's still cool)

BTW - If you don't understand what the hell am I talking about - See the Original.

Operating System: It's...blue screen

Oh CloudStalker already knows about that plan, I...wait, CloudStalker was just saying that the image looks kinda funny, in a good way. :)

So how often does http://planet.videolan.org/ update it's feeds? - the "Day of the Cone" post (3rd Jan) still isn't on Planet VideoLAN.

@Tombigel: Nice render - what did you use to create it?

@Arite: I used Illustrator and then some retouches in Photoshop.
I needed something to experiment with "Gradient Mesh" on, and I remembered I told JB that doing this could be cool... so I did.
I retraced the background using the original image, and then did the cone.
