OK, I'm a noob with VLC so go easy please. I've done some searching in the Forums, but haven't found what I'm looking for, so i apologize if this topic has been discussed already.
Is it possilbe to capture a live video feed from a digital video camera (without a tape in it) via VLC? I was able to get it to capture a live feed with a tape in the camera, however it was a terrible experience. It looked like the video was split with the bottm 1/3 of the video at the top, plus there was alot of static noise and video distortion.
I'm Running Windows XP pro, 512 memory, 2.4 Ghz processor, the latest version of Windows media player and QT. I also have a DVStorm 2 Card from Canopus installed. I would like the avoid trying to capture through that card b/c I will be recommending this software to clients if it functions as I am hoping. So I haven't tried capturing through it yet.
Also the camera I'm using is a Sony TVR-50.
Thanks in advanced!
