VLC 0.8.1

I downloaded a Convert Video DVD. The first five minutes there's sound. After that I get a message saying: "main:cannot add music channel mixer a52tospdif"
Trying another section of the DVD I get: "main:cannot add music channel mixer mpgatofixed32"
All other movies concerts, tv shows, CD's etc. work really good.
I also saw a message: "Core Audio Buffer Failed"
I've tried to change audio/preferences etc. but I'm not sure of what format the DVD is in. I left the DVD on my hard disk because it was downloaded. Should I burn it to DVD? If there's no sound, then I shouldn't right? Any suggestions? Please HELP!
