VLC is always blocking when I try to use the assistant of diffusion / transcodage and this is not from the computer because i had this problem with many computers. Someone else has encountered this problem ? Please take some time to answer me.

my version of VLC is (0.8.0) with windows 2000 pro

Did you try VLC 0.8.1 (the latest release) or a nightly build yet? The problem might be fixed there. Anyway, you should describe a bit more in detail as an application can block in many ways.
