Ive got a brand new (3 mths old now) Apple IMAC and have loaded the latest version of VLC. I have never had any problems watching UK dvds (which is my region) and I have set my regional setting on the MAC back and forward between US and UK until i reached my second last chance to change and i left it on the UK region. thats when i loaded VLC.
As i said, i have no issues loading and playing UK dvds thru VLC, but why bother with VLC if thats all I can do right? For whatever reason I cant play US dvds. its driving me nuts. Ive deleted the preference files, I dont have the default set to anything when a new disk is loaded...i even deleted VLC and reloaded it...
The error message I get when i check my message log says
access_file error: read failed (input/output error)
Can anyone help?
