reading windows media and quicktime files/conversion

Postby manchette » 03 Apr 2005 16:31

i was wondering if there's a way to read wmv/wma files with VLC ?
or .mov also?

is there sthg like a universal software able to convert as much as possible extensions to avi ? : .mov, .wma, .wmv, real player, etc...

thanks ;)

(my question might apply better to the VLC media player section, sorry)

vlc supports nearly all .mov files on osx and nearly all .wmv files on windows. It also support many mov and wmv files on other platforms as well, but makes no claim to support everything.

Vlc supports nearly nothing with "real" in it's name.
