streaming unprotected dvr-ms files

Postby paulski » 10 Feb 2005 22:46

As far as I can gather, the format of an unprotected DVR-MS movie file (as used in Microsoft Media Center) is simply an asf container for mpeg-2 along with some meta-info about a recorded show. I would love to able to stream such files over my network using vlc without having to spend hours converting each show from dvr-ms to a format that my pocketpc can handle. ....so my question is: are the any plans to support dvr-ms input for vlc?

Thanx in advance.....

I've uploaded a drv-ms file to your posted server for you to look at.
