Does VLC for MOS X work on minidvd or cDVD formats?

Postby deepthought » 11 Jan 2004 17:19

I know it's not a "standard" format, but does anyone know whether the minidvd or cDVD format work on VLC? I'm using a G4 running MOS 10.3.2 with an internal Pioneer 106 dvdr/cdr installed with a couple of external firewire plexwriters. I have Apple's own dvd player and VLC installed.

More infomation can be had here:

http://www.dvdrhelp.com/minidvd.htm

It says that it's a format which allows the dvd format to be burned onto cdr's for about 15 minutes worth of dvd playing time.

Thanks in advancde for replying! :)

I can get the miniDVD format disks to play in VLC. But most consumer DVD players will not be able to play the disks.
