Is there or could there be an rss.xml feed for the different forums?

No, there isn't. AFAIK phpBB (the used forum software) isn't able to provide one and I don't see why you need such a feed. If you register, there is an option, which let's you display all new messages since the last visit. That's completely sufficient from my experience.
