trying to make VLC on REDHAT 9 OS

Hi,
I am trying to build new release of VLC 0.8.1 under redhat 9 (shrike) linux 2.4.
Now, I need glibc 2.4 and I didn't find this upgrade even on RedHat Web site, it is again GLIBC 2.3.
Could you tell me where I can find it ?

You need to install apt-get for RPM which will take care of all dependancy problems.

I have the same problem ......... can advise more on apt-get ? ..... tried searching for apt-get at rpmfind.net but didn't get a good response.

will Freshrpms Updates for Red Hat 9 apt-05.5cnc6-fr1.i386.rpm do the job ?
