Playing .mov with sound under Linux (debian)

Postby GloubI » 07 Oct 2004 21:50

Hello,

I've read all about "QDM2" on this forum, and I don't find help for Linux OS...
I'm a med-newbie and I don't understand how i can activate sound.
I try to add '--enable-quicktime' in shell, but it's don't work :(

Have you some tips ?
Thanks.

With VLC: yes.

Perhaps MPlayer can do that by hacking a QuickTime Win32-dll, but since VLC does not and cannot do that, this file is unplayable under Linux, because neither QuickTime for Linux nor an open-source implementation of this codec does exist.

Thanks for your answer. I'll try with MPlayer...
