Video Lan Hardware reciever

Postby srosonina » 29 Sep 2004 22:33

I am looking for a dumb reciever to sit behind my tv's and just accept video lan streams. No additional features required. Anyone come across one?

set tops for vlc

You can use any set top box that supports MPEG1,2. Such items can be found at aminocom.com (the 110 I have experience with). A google search for "ip set top box" should bring up many options.

I've not priced the retail cost of an Amino 110, but believe it to be in the neighborhood of $200. Very cheap compared to a PC and video out card.

Aminets where

I think the main Aminet distributor in the US is a company called AMT out of Florida (http://www.gctglobal.com) and they can also be purchased through a company in California called Visionary Solutions (http://www.vsicam.com)
