Couldn't see stream video via VLC

Postby wgstream » 07 Apr 2004 02:03

Just download VLC at my Window PC to test how it works. I have videos located at one of apache Linux server. I tried to use the protocal like

vlc --file-- open network stream -- http/ftp/mms -- input url having the video

stream output settings is "play locally"

Nothing happen besides blank black screen for a couple of seconds. I went to click playlist, I can see those video name is there. But couldn't see video.

Can anyone give some advice, what is wrong with my testing ? By the way, I use cable.

Thanks

Hello,

Stream output is only if you want your VLC to send its input stream. In your case, you don't need it. Uncheck the stream output checkbox.
