Subtitle

I have two different sub files one *.srt and one *.sub. How do I load these in VLC? Tell me all about it. Thanks

Hello everybody.

I play SVCD movie (*.mpg file from hard drive) with
internal selectable subtitles, but I don’t see subtitles.
What’s wrong?
VLC 0.7.1, Windows XP, Pentium II
