How do I get it to work with no instructions?

Videolan looks promising and claims to do a lot but all I could get it to do is play DVD's. How do you get it to stream video from a DVD in Windows XP with no directions?

There is a moron-proof Streaming Wizard in the File menu. Please use that, or refer to

http://www.videolan.org/doc/videolan-ho ... tml#AEN735

See?

Ha! The moron-proof Streaming Wizard isn't fool proof! It's actually pretty useless, all it does is open the same boxes as the other selections but doesn't help by telling what to put in the blanks!
The link is MORE THAN USELESS since it seems to be for Linux and I'm using Windows.
I finally got it to work by reading all the messages to find out what others were putting in the blanks but I don't see why it would be so hard to have some help included with the program!

TODO: a better streaming wizard. Thanks for the advice.

Have you read the link I suggested?

The Linux and Windows interfaces are exactly the same, thank God wx exists and lets us do that.

The only thing that might change is device names. For example, a dvd is called /dev/dvd on a Linux box and D: on a windows box. Again, all this is already stated in the documentation.

Or, you can buy a Microsoft Streaming Server, pay for it, and ask for technical assitance. I'm not sure it will either work better or be user-friendlier.
