Installation

Postby jman454 » 01 Feb 2004 06:19

The website says use 'rpm -U vlc/* --force' to install VLC. It seems that rpm -ivh vlc/* works a little better.

When running rpm on the updates I get this:

[root@syng01 updates]# rpm -U vlc/* --force
warning: vlc/fribidi-0.10.4-4.i386.rpm: V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID 4f2a6fd2
error: Failed dependencies:
mozilla = 35:1.2.1 is needed by (installed) galeon-1.2.7-3

Seems to work

I had copied the update files from the update dir into the vlc dir when I ran rpm the first time. It seems to run OK.
