slideshow in full screen

i'm using version 0.8.1 with OS of windows 2000 Professional.

the problem i am having is i can play video files fine but when i switch to full screen the video turns into a slide show.

i have an IBM thinkpad T20 with 192 ram and a pentium III processor.

also i had been using WMP to play my files and had many third party codecs installed

i'm thinking of formatting my hard drive and reinstalling windows 2K but i want to see if there is anything i can try before i do that

i installed the latest version and it is still playing strangely when i try to go into full screen
