VLC subtitles do not appear on the screen with VESA driver

Postby lool » 22 Jun 2005 13:37

Hello,
Yesterday I connected my HP Pavilion to TV. I installed atitvout package, changed xorg.conf (instead of "ati" put "vesa"). Everything works OK besides subtitles in VLC. I tried different screen resolutions, etc. Nothing helped. When had changed driver to "ati" subtitles appeared correctly. With vesa subtitles do not appear even on LCD screen.

Please help me solve this issue!!

best regards,
lool

OK, I managed to solve my problem. I needed to run vlc as follows:
vlc --x11-display 0
